Beautiful Card Using Our Vintage Image

Stamped For The Occasion, http://otomys.wordpress.com/, has made a lovely card using the vintage big hat lady.  I love seeing what others have made using the images and I am so happy Amelia shared it with me.  I, in turn, will share it with all of you so you can see what is possible with  the simplest graphic.  It is so much fun to look at and admire the creativity of others.  I hope this will inspire me to begin making cards and such once more.  I have recently decoupaged photos that I have scanned and printed onto canvas.  They turned out quite well.  Also, have done some paper dolls along with their dresses on canvas.  These are so sweet.  I want to get several of them completed.  I glued a strand of twine on one and sort of put the dresses as if they were hanging on a clothesline behind the doll.  I cut two of the paper doll and stuck one on top of the other with glue dots to make it stand out.  It was so pretty.
Till next time, be sweet!

Just a couple of sweet tiny cherub valentines for you today.  I hope you enjoy them.  I have a lot of old valentine graphics and wish I had started earlier with the posting, but better late than never!  Besides, there is always next year ... and Easter.
Be sweet, Friends!

Sweet Old Valentines

Just in time for Valentine's Day ... three cute little valentines!  These remind me of the days we made boxes in grade school from shoe boxes to hold our valentines.  We glued wrapping paper or  pictures cut from magazines and catalogs onto the boxes, decorating them with ribbons, buttons or whatever we wanted.  I always thought they were so beautiful and carried mine home carefully after we had traded Valentines at school.
I would look at them for hours till at last I grew tired of them and moved to something else.  I never tire of the sweet innocence of the old cards.  They are quite different from the ones today.
Enjoy ... be sweet and always treat others as you would like to be treated.
