Pink Pretties And A Beauty With Yellow Flowers

Lady with yellow flowers

A Doll For Christmas

Girl With Pink Roses

I believe this is an old Humphrey print
Today I am sharing four of the sweetest images  ... from a lady surrounded by yellow blossoms to a beautiful old Humphrey print.  They are each pretty and unique graphics, free and perfect for craft projects.  I haven't learned to transfer them to fabric yet, but I have seen some adorable little pillows, even coverlets, made using such prints as these.  I am sure it is easy to do.  I saw one decorated with a print that had been transferred to fabric, then pearls surrounded the image and silk flowers (or they may have been fabric) flowers decorated the rest.  It was just beautiful.  I know they are so pretty used in decorating a box or any kind of collaged object as that is mostly what I love to do.  Some of the finished items absolutely look like heirlooms.  They are SO pretty.  I especially love to decorate and craft with angel graphics and those of cute little children.  Whatever you decide to do with them is up to you!  I just hope you are happy with them and like them as much as I do.
Be sweet as always!!!

Three Lovely Old Santas And Not A Pumpkin In Sight!!!

Oh, I hope you like these 3 sweet Santas!  I love Christmas graphics and the old Santa images are gorgeous and make the most beautiful Christmas card you can imagine!  I used homemade cards all done in blue tones one year and they were very pretty.  I am planning to use more variety this year.  You can never go wrong with the traditional reds and greens, but I love the burgandy graphics and other colors as well.  It is just a little different and unique.  Please use these free images any way you wish and I would love to see what you have made if you would like to send me a picture I will post it for everyone to enjoy.
Thank you for coming to my little blog and I appreciate my followers more than you know.  I love all my visitors and read every comment!
Be sweet and treat others the way you would like to be treated!!

Blue Beauties

These ladies with just a hint of blue are positively lovely!  There is something about the color of blue that is so soothing.  I could look at it all day.  These little pretties would look great paired with a matching background, a couple of floral sprays and a bird or two ... maybe even a nest with eggs!  Whatever you come up with, I am positive it will be lovely adorned with these blue beauties!!!
Be sweet!

Never Too Early To Think Of Christmas (especially for Taylor Swift Fanatics)

I just love these little Christmas images!  I tell you, all it takes for me is breathing crisp, cool air and my mind wanders off to snowy days with lights sparkling in the dark, lighting up the night with every color of the rainbow!!  I long for the candy canes, the sweet apple cider with red hots that simmer and leave a wonderful aroma wafting throughout the house ... dragging out the stockings and untangling the lights that I swear every year will be the last time they will be in such a tangled mess when I retrieve them for the next season.  It doesn't take much for me to be as excited as a kid on Christmas Eve trying to get a peek at Santa as he slips in to leave the presents and grab his cookie, wolfing down the glass of milk so he can hurry to his next stop.  I swear when I was little I saw reindeer tracks on our lawn!  Is there anyone who can say with a certainty that I did not?  My great grand children love that story and every word is true!
I have loads of old Victorian Santas, children and Christmas angels so I will begin to slip a few in now and then.  I hope you enjoy these as much as I do and that you can use them in a project or just to print, matt, frame and enjoy!!!
Just have to say it, you know ... be sweet!!!

Free Images - The Innocence of Angels

Something about those angel images I just love and can never get enough of!  Seems like there is an endless supply of angel graphics so apparently I am not alone in the feeling.  They impart a childlike innocence, so pure and an absolute joy to look at and to incorporate into any number of craft projects.  I think they are beautiful decoupaged on a box with little beads, bits of lace or ribbon and whatever your mind can conjure up!  I hope you like these and find a way to use them.  If so, I would love to see how they are used.
Be sweet!!

Ancestors of Our Land

These are very, very old pictures.  They are very unique.  Look at the high cheekbones and the strength in those faces!!  My paternal grandmother was an Indian and my mom had the thick black hair and high strong cheek bones as did my grandfather which had been passed on from my great grammy!  My mother was very beautiful and into her seventies, still had that dark thick full head of hair!  It never turned fully gray, only a strand or two here and there.  I am proud of my heritage.
I hope you are pleased with the pictures and like them as much as I do.
Be sweet and treat others as you would like to be treated.

Angels In Roses

These are two of the loveliest angel images and they are freebies for you to download and use as you wish.  I would like to see what you create with them if you use them in crafts.  I sometimes just like to look at them and enjoy their beauty.  There is something about the image of an angel ... can't put my finger on it, but I am drawn to their beauty and innocence.  I hope you like them as much as I do.
Be sweet!

Digital Art Freebie, Quote By Helen Keller

I love this quote by Helen Keller.  I love so many of the things she said and is remembered for.  I decided to make a digital art page using the quote.
I am surprised as it did not take long at all and the joy it gave me is immeasurable.  I love making anything and I have grown to really enjoy using the digital program I bought when I was still able to work.  I don't even think they make it any more.
I could never master photoshop or the newer ones and it took a long time to learn the correct way to use the one I have.  There are still probably tons of things I could do, but don't know how. I have found out most of what I know by playing around and saying to myself, "Oh, I wonder what this will do!".
I want to know how to add color to a black and white photograph.  There must be a simple way to do it and I love the look of a black and white photo with a flower or some little thing in a beautiful color.
If you use the art please give me credit for it ... that is all I ask and to send someone here to download their own if they would like.
I am beginning to post as much as what I make as the "old stuff" I have acquired!!!
Be sweet, all!!

War Ration Book And Woolworth Menu (Plus Memories)

I think you will really like these two wonderful graphics.  Isn't it fun to see the way it was "back in the day"?
I often wish I was there and think I might have been born in the wrong century!!  I would be perfectly happy, with no computer or any of the comforts we take so for granted today!!  I raised my children in the rural south, where if you saw a cloud of dust on the road you knew you were about to have company!  We had to drive 20 miles just to get a loaf of bread.  We barely knew what store bought bread was anyway!!  I made biscuits and cornbread and homemade yeast rolls all the time.  It was the way I was raised, it was what I knew to do.
I am SO grateful my kids had a chance to grow up the way they did and the way I grew up as well.  They could walk in the woods, explore, fish in the canal in the field beside our house.  They climbed trees, picked dusty blackberries by the roadside in a lard bucket.  That's what I used to cook as that's all I knew to do.  I tease them today that our arteries are probably solid hog fat!!!!  They have such fond memories of their childhood and that, after all, is what is important.  They remember coming home from school and smelling homemade bread or cookies before they even opened the door.  I say to anyone who will listen that those were the happiest days of my life and it is so true.  I was so young when I married, my dad used to say I grew up with my kids, the only thing is, they grew up and I never did!
Don't see any need to grow up now as I want to play dolls and have tea parties with my great grand children.
I do get carried away when I talk of those days!
Be sweet and treat others as you would like to be treated.

Christmas Images Already? Free To Use As You Please

After being sent my own personal angel, I couldn't help but think of Christmas, although Halloween and Thanksgiving have not yet arrived!!
Christmas is my very favorite time of the year.  I think it is to most everyone, especially to the little children.  I remember how excited my own children became weeks before the holiday!  They were like little elves, eyes sparkling with the wonderment of it all.  They loved to go riding at night, marveling at all the twinkling lights.  I believe their little faces outshone even the brightest of lights!  It was a time of joy and excitement for them.
What special memories of Christmas comes to mind for you?
I am sure we all have many that stand out.  I have such special childhood memories myself, of the holiday seasons when my brothers and I were small and my sweet little mom and dad made them all the more special for us.  How lucky we were to have apples, oranges and chocolate santas in our stockings on Christmas morning!!  We actually hung up real stockings, not the kind you buy in a store, but the best ones we could find that we wore to keep us warm during the cold winter days.  They hung proudly and prominently on nails by the tree Dad had cut himself.  We strung popcorn, made paper ornaments and Mama helped us cut out a big star for the tree top.  It was the most beautiful tree in the world to us.
I really get carried away when those memories bubble up!  I hope you like the Christmas images and can use them in your crafting or just enjoy them as I do.
Be sweet!!

God Sent An Angel

Oh, goodness ... where do I start except to say that God has sent to me my own personal angel!!!!  I don't believe she has wings yet unless she tucks them tightly inside the clothes she wears so they don't show and tip people off!!!
NEVER doubt in the power of belief!!!
I have forgiven the person who stole my money and ID.  We have to forgive if we want to be forgiven.  I wonder if he is peaceful when he lies his head down at night.
I wish I knew who he (or she) is so I could look into their eyes and say simply, "You took all I had ... I am unable even to get a Social Security card because you took all my identification, along with all my money and the money for my disabled children.  It is said everyone is equal.  Perhaps it is true.  I do know I am at peace  when my head touches the pillow at night because I have forgiven you."
Be sweet and love each other!!

Not All News Is Good News

Hi, sweet friends.  I wanted to tell you it may be a while before I post again.  I am devastated and heartbroken that there are such people in the world.  My purse was stolen with all the money I have in it!  I had just got money orders to pay my bills and cash for the rest of the month since I only have Social Security since I have become disabled.
I will put it in the hands of the Lord and trust that he will take care of me and try to look at it as a learning experience.
Please stay sweet!!!

Adorable Angel Images

These really are two of the most adorable angel images I have seen.  They all are beautiful to me and I hope you will like them as well.  Today I made a collaged box with images of various angels on the lid and it was so pretty!  I think I must be prejudiced though because I think anything with angels is beautiful.  There is simply something appealing that draws me to it!!!
Be sweet and I hope you enjoy the angels and use them on something extra special!!!

Old Child's Book Page

This is a page taken from an old children's book.  I do not even know the name of the book, but times have sure changed!  This is such a treasure and one we should see that is not lost to our children of future generations.  We owe it to them.  I hope you enjoy it.
Be sweet!

A Glimpse Of Heaven

My great grand daughter, Morgan

My great grandson, Christian

Aren't these the sweetest tags ever?  Is it possible I think they are because I made them with little pictures of my 2 tiniest great grand children?  Christian is 11 months old now and has a smile that will absolutely melt a heart of stone!  Look out all you baby girls when this little one is a teenager because he will surely win the heart of everyone who looks at him!!
The other, Morgan, is 4 1/2 months old now and has the smile of an angel ... in fact IS an angel.  I tell you, when she opens that little rosebud mouth to laugh and those blue eyes begin to sparkle you catch a glimpse of what Heaven must be like, for it is a feeling of pure joy!!
Of course, I suppose it is a natural feeling known by every great grandmother.  I am so thankful, so grateful to have 5 sweet little angel great grandchildren.  Some people never have any so I am so very blessed and so lucky to be included in those who do.

Vintage Ads - Campbell's Soup And Sunkist

I love this old Campbell's Soup ad!!  Just look at the variety, 21 kinds and what a value with such a low price!!  I wish I could fill a grocery cart full of soup at those prices to say nothing of stocking up on good old Sunkist.  Boy, those were the days!  But then, the week's wages may have only been twelve or fifteen dollars!!  I remember once I spent seventeen dollars on  groceries and I was scared as all get out to tell my husband because I usually only spent around twelve dollars Strange as it sounds today, we ate quite well and had about anything our little old hearts desired!!!  Enjoy you freebies and go make something!!
Above all, be sweet and kind to all!

Sweet Vintage Angels

Angels are all around us if we quiet our minds, be peaceful, be serene and tranquil ... we don't even have to look and search for them ... they are just there.  We do not always see them but we can feel their presence.
I know you will love these sweet angel images every bit as much as I do.  They are so beautiful in a collage on the lid of a dainty little box, with the box bottom painted in a soft pastel color.  Enhance the lid with small pastel buttons, "jewels" or tiny beads, bits of old lace or a lovely little bow hot glued in place.  Place paper shreds or tissue paper in the box before placing your treasure inside.  It makes a wonderful gift.
I recently made such a little box for my grand daughter with only an old black and white photo of her parents that I had put into a small collage on a card.  It was such a personal little gift for her and she loves and cherishes it.  I am sure she will keep it forever and am so glad I could give her a gift she will cherish..  Don't forget to add your name and the date on the bottom of the box or, as I did, on the back of the picture inside.  You could even write it on the box bottom inside.  Anyway, I hope you will have fun with your angels.
Just remember to be sweet!!!

ATC Swap

This is my very first ATC swap a swap hosted by Blissfull ATC Swap and I am totally hooked!!  I received my sweet little card in the mail from Sharon of Wildflowerhouse.  I hope you will check out these blogs.  You just might be inspired to make an ATC yourself!!  Already I am planning on buying pages to store mine in as I know they will begin to accumulate.  I told Sharon I hope mine holds together as it was only the 2nd or 3rd I had ever made!  I THINK I have found a better glue.  I am posting the card I got from Sharon so you can see for yourself how lovely it is.

Is this not the cutest, sweetest thing you ever saw?!  The theme for August is "orange".  I love this and now I am the proud owner of my very first Artist Trading Card!!!
Be sweet and go make a card!!!

Freebie Images, Two Old Soap Ads

These are the cutest ads.  They are very feminine and would be perfect for a collaged bottle or jar.  You can paint the bottle in a coordinating pastel color, collage the lid in pastel colors and adhere a matching bow on one side of the lid or simply tie with jute.  The label is glued on with a bit of decoupage glue, then wipe the medium on front of the label to give it a nice finish.  Carefully wipe off any excess around the label if necessary.  These little jars are adorable filled with candy, homemade bath salts or any number of things.  So go and be creative.  Let me know what you come up with.  I love to hear and see new ideas!!!Be sweet!!!

Freebie Image Assortment and "Just Thoughts"

Quite an assortment for you today!  I actually remember having a phone almost exactly like the image here, where we had to take the receiver off and hold the cylindrical mouthpiece just right to be heard!!!
Uh, oh! Have I almost told my age?  More likely that was a very realistic dream I had one night.  I surely can't be that old!!  Or can I?
My favorite of the 3 images today is the book with the white rose.  I think it looks very elegant and I hope you like it as well.  I also love the old ad for peaches grown in Georgia.  I hope you will find a use for them and let me see what you have come up with.

I am participating in an ATC swap at, of all things, Blissfull ATC Swap.   I would love it if you would pop over and take a look.  It is rather new and is growing by leaps and bounds.  I hate to admit I have only made one ATC.  That is pretty pitiful, but I was invited to participate so I was not about to refuse!!!  I will be posting the card I receive from my swap partner as soon as it arrives.  Isn't that fun?
I am fascinated by old things.  They are so unique, so special in showing us a life different as we know it to be today.  What amazes me is that so many of the things that were done matter of factly back in the day  is now coming into a full circle and folks are calling homemade cleaners, making do with what you've got, living a more simple life, etc. "the new way"!!  The new way is the old way, the way my mom and grandmas cooked and cleaned, ran their house and their lives.  It works as well to day as it did then.  Don't fix it if it ain't broke!
Be sweet!!
